Members of the UJA and the UCO meet to work on the PROEM network’s next steps

Last Wednesday, researchers with the Department of Psychology at the University of Jaén (UJA) and the University of Córdoba (UCO), both institutions PROEM network members, met at the UJA campus.

Luis Joaquín García, Lourdes Espinosa, José Antonio Muela, Clara Vallecillo and Paqui Luque hosted Juan Antonio Moriana, lecturer in Personality, Psychological Evaluation and Treatment with the Department of Psychology at the University of Córdoba. He also conducts research at the IMIBIC (Maimonides Institute for Biomedical Research in Córdoba) and at the Reina Sofía University Hospital.

During this working meeting, they took stock of the recent activities carried out by the PROEM network, most notably the efforts led by Ciudadanos and the PP to register two non-legislative proposals (Proposiciones No de Ley) to promote youth mental health with the Congress of Deputies; the contact established with the National Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CNIIE); and the dissemination of the report and road map drawn up by the network among policymakers at a regional, national and European level.

Furthermore, they laid the foundations for the distribution of work corresponding to the network’s next steps, which are also already being worked on by the network’s other members: Complutense University of Madrid, University of the Basque Country, Miguel Hernández University, Rovira i Virgili University, and University of Deusto.
