As part of their regular meetings, the PROCARE initiative team met on March 25 to analyze the status of the project and decide on the next steps to be taken, once the screening period for participants is over.
First, the professor of the University of Jaén and main responsible of the PROEM Network, Luis Joaquín García, explained the last actions carried out, mainly focused on the design and election of the new official PROCARE logo and the organization of its appearance before members of the Health and Consumption Commission of the Congress of Deputies.
Subsequently, the researchers responsible for each of the participating universities, UJA, URV and UMH, presented the data obtained by stakeholders in the PROCARE initiative to date. Based on these figures, the methodology to be followed was discussed with the parents and adolescents participating in the interviews and in the prepared sessions, emphasizing the assessment of possible disorders, their detection and treatment, as well as factors such as suicidal ideation and interest in participation in the randomized controlled clinical trial.
Finally, various options were explored as a platform for treatment, which will be the next phase to be implemented within PROCARE over the next two months.
