Ana Cobos, president of the Confederación de Organizaciones de Psicopedagogía y Orientación de España (COPOE) and collaborator of the PROEM Network, has presented her book “Manual de orientación educativa. Theory and practice of psychopedagogy”.
The presentation ceremony took place in Ateneo de Málaga and was presented by its institutional president Victoria Abdón. Along with her and Ana Cobos herself, Esperanza Samaniego also participated as president of the Association of Guidance Counselors of Malaga (AOSMA).
Specifically, Ana Cobos explained that this book is a manual of educational guidance that gathers the theoretical and practical pillars that a guidance professional needs to know to address this complex task in the 21st century. “It begins by laying the theoretical foundations of Psychopedagogy and from there, to learn how this theoretical science has been materializing in another applied science: educational guidance,” she said.
In it, the techniques, instruments and procedures of educational guidance are dealt with in depth and each intervention is dissected in the academic, personal, socio-affective and emotional dimensions.
“The objective is that this manual becomes a reference for those who are being trained to work as counselors, teachers or other professions in the educational field,” he said.
The knowledge contained in this book, published by Narcea, is based on decades of guidance practice, so that the proposals can be extrapolated to real contexts. “For this purpose, there is a specific chapter in which a practical method of application during a complete course is presented,” the author specified.
