16/06/2023.- The PROEM Network and the University of Jaén (UJA) are organizing the free day of transfer to society “Interdisciplinary initiatives for the promotion of health and emotional well-being of young people”. The day will start with the presentation of the activity by Luis Joaquín García, Professor of Psychology at the UJA. Subsequently, two round tables will be held. The first one will focus on resources aimed at young people with the presentation of initiatives available and free for families, adolescents, educators and professionals in the field of health and youth information points. Specifically, UJA-led projects such as PROCARE, PROADEMO or Level UP, as well as initiatives launched by institutions such as the Spanish Youth Institute (INJUVE), attached to the Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, the Spanish Youth Council (CJE) or The European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA) will be the protagonists.

The second round table will discuss self-help, psycho-pedagogical, educational, health and youth resources to promote health and emotional well-being in young people. Projects led by the UJA as Digitas and DAREMOS will be shared, as well as actions carried out by entities such as the Confederation of Organizations of Psychopedagogy and Guidance of Spain (COPOE), the Spanish Association of Mutual Help against Social Phobia and Anxiety Disorders (AMTAES) or the Andalusian Association of Youth Professionals (AATJ).

A resilient Spain needs resilient citizens and a society has no future without emotionally healthy adolescents,” he says.
