Red interdisciplinar para la PROmoción de la salud y bienestar Emocional en las personas jóvenes

The University of Jaen and the External Advisory Council establish the work plan and dissemination actions for the PROADEMO initiative.

The city of Malaga hosted the intermediate meeting between UJA researchers and representatives of the entities that collaborate with this project to promote the health and emotional well-being of adolescents.

21/5/2024.- The city of Malaga hosted the intermediate working meeting of the PROADEMO project (‘PROmocionAnDo la salud y el bienestar EMOcional de los adolescentes en el sector educativo, sanitario y la sociedad’), led by the University of Jaen with the support of a large External Advisory Board.

The research team was represented by researchers from the University of Jaén (UJA), Luis Joaquín García, José Antonio Muela, Lourdes Espinosa, David Jiménez, Manuel Vivas, Jesús Sánchez and Álvaro Muela.

On behalf of the External Advisory Council (CAE) of this initiative, the following were present: the Head of the Interministerial Programs Service of the Spanish Youth Institute (INJUVE), Victoria Rodríguez; the 2nd vice-president and responsible for the socioeconomic and communication areas of the Spanish Youth Council, Juan Antonio Báez; the head of Integral Health of the FELGTBI+, Toni Martí; the president of the Confederation of Organizations of Psychopedagogy and Guidance of Spain (COPOE), Ana Cobos; the vice-president of the Andalusian Association of Youth Professionals, Antonio Lara, the president of the Spanish Association for Mutual Help against Social Phobia and Anxiety Disorders (AMTAES), Enrique Vargas, and the psychologists of the Asturian Association for the Attention and Care of Children (ASACI), Ana María Sainero and María Fé Martínez. Other members of the CAE are ERYICA and the Princess of Girona Foundation.

During the meeting, the feedback previously provided by the CAE on the materials generated, both the PROADEMO Training Guide for Training Professionals and the PROADEMO Guide of practical tools, the triage tool and the informative videos aimed at the young people themselves, was analyzed. At the same time, the work plan for the dissemination of the final materials was established and the dissemination actions were planned until the end of November 2024.

The objective of PROADEMO is to develop a set of practical tools for the emotional support of adolescents aimed at educational, health and youth professionals, and young people themselves. Within this framework, it aims to provide a series of free materials aimed at improving the skills of workers in these sectors in helping the adolescent population at risk of emotional problems.

PROADEMO is a project PDC2022-133401-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 (Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the State Research Agency and the European Union through the “Next Generation EU” funds within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan).
