Luis Joaquín García, Lourdes Espinosa, José Antonio Muela and Jesús Sánchez set the schedule for the final months of the initiative.

26/7/2024.- Researchers from the Department of Psychology of the University of Jaén (UJA), Luis Joaquín García, Lourdes Espinosa, José Antonio Muela and Jesús Sánchez, met to discuss the dissemination, communication and exploitation plan for the materials generated as a result of the project ‘PROmocionAnDo la salud y el bienestar EMOcional de los adolescentes en el sector educativo, sanitario y la sociedad’ (PROADEMO).

Over the last few months, the UJA team has developed different materials for adolescents between 12 and 18 years old and for professionals working with them in different areas such as education, health or youth. Specifically, they have designed and developed a digital training package aimed at school and health staff, workers of youth information points and young people themselves to expand their skills and knowledge; a set of practical tools (guide and triage) focused on professionals to improve the service related to mental health; and an emotional support kit for young people, focused on adolescents and produced in collaboration with them to promote their resilience, protect their health and emotional well-being and increase emotional literacy.

Following the production of these materials, the next phase of PROADEMO, which will last until the end of November, focuses on the dissemination, communication and exploitation of its results on a national and international scale. In this way, the UJA research team will involve interest groups both in Spain and at European level to broaden the impact of PROADEMO. In this sense, they addressed the development of a global strategy that will include activities and actions aimed at enhancing the impact of the resources generated within the framework of the project.

PROADEMO is a project PDC2022-133401-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 (Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the State Research Agency and the European Union through the “Next Generation EU” funds within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan).

Together with its research team, with an External Advisory Board made up of entities such as the Spanish Youth Institute (INJUVE), attached to the Ministry of Youth and Children, the Spanish Youth Council (CJE), the European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA), the Princess of Girona Foundation (FPdGi), the Integral Health group of the FELGTBI+, the Confederation of Organizations of Psychopedagogy and Guidance of Spain (COPOE), the Spanish Association of Mutual Help against Social Phobia and Anxiety Disorders (Amtaes), the Andalusian Association of Youth Technicians (AATJ) and the Asturian Association for the Attention and Care of Children (Asaci).
