27/01/2025.- The Professor of Psychology at the University of Jaén (UJA) and head of the PROEMO Network, Luis Joaquín García, shared the Report and Roadmap 2025 on health and emotional well-being in adolescents and young people in the Aljarafe-Sevilla Norte Health District.
In his presentation, Luis Joaquín García presented the current situation of health and emotional well-being of young people and made a tour of the main milestones achieved by the Network team since 2018 through the “Report and Roadmap on the current status, needs and recommendations for the improvement of psychological assessment and the promotion of health and emotional well-being in young people”, until reaching the current Report and Roadmap 2025 of the PROEMO Network (RED2022-134247-T funded by MICIU/AEI/10. 13039/501100011033 (Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the State Research Agency).
In addition, together with researcher Laura Zafra, they discussed the keys to PROCARE, the first transdiagnostic program of selective and indicated prevention at international level aimed at young people between 12 and 18 years of age at risk of suffering emotional problems.
PROCARE is an R+D+i project PID 2019-111138RB-I00 funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 (Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the State Research Agency), with the participation of professionals from the Department of Psychology of the UJA, Rovira i Virgili University, Miguel Hernández University of Elche and the University of Miami (USA).
He then briefly presented the materials generated in the framework of the PROADEMO initiative, developed to transfer knowledge to youth technicians. These materials will be detailed during the course in a module that will be taught by Luis Joaquín García himself, who is part of the course faculty.
