20/03/2025.- Researchers from the University of Jaén (UJA) and the University of Deusto of the PROEMO Network have presented the shortcomings detected and proposals raised in the document “Report and Roadmap 2025 on health and emotional well-being in adolescents and young people” to the Director General of INJUVE, Ministry of Youth and Children, during the sectoral meeting on mental health in the framework of the participatory process of the draft bill of the Law on Youth and Intergenerational Justice.
The Federation of Associations of Youth Professionals of Andalusia together with youth professionals from various associations and autonomous communities (Catalonia, Andalusia, Castilla La Mancha, Diputación Guipúzcoa, Comunidad Valenciana and Comunidad de Madrid) provided key points for the new Law to representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Childhood and INJUVE. Among them, the need to recognize the figure of the youth professional within the law, the importance of sufficient staffing and stable funding for youth services and the mainstreaming of youth policies in all areas of the administration stand out. It also raises the need to define a portfolio of mandatory minimum services for children, adolescents and youth in the municipalities, thus ensuring access to services as a right, in line with the lines of action proposed in the document “Report and Roadmap 2025 on health and emotional well-being in adolescents and young people” of the PROEMO Network.
This activity is framed around the actions promoted by the PROEMO Network, a research network (RED2022-134247-T) funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the State Research Agency, through the State Program to promote scientific-technical research and its transfer, within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2021-2023.
