SAMSERAP - IBIMA Plataforma BIONAND
The SAMSERAP (Mental Health, Services and Primary Care) research group was created in 2003 and is composed of a multidisciplinary team of family physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, epidemiologists and statisticians. Our main line of research is the prediction and prevention of common mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety and/or risky alcohol consumption. Our team has carried out research projects funded by international (European Framework Programs, Medical Research Council, etc.) and Spanish (ISCIII, MICINN, Consejería de Salud de la Junta de Andalucía, etc.) research agencies. He currently belongs to the Research Network on Chronicity, Primary Care and Health Promotion (RICAPPS), to the PROEMO network and to the Biomedical Research Institute of Malaga (IBIMA Bionand platform).
LINES OF RESEARCH
- Develop and validate risk algorithms to predict the onset, current occurrence and maintenance of common mental illnesses.
- Design, develop and evaluate innovative programs for the prevention of common mental illnesses.
- Generate evidence on the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and acceptability of common mental illness prevention programs.
- Evaluate the implementation of common mental illness prevention programs.
