Universidad Miguel Hernández
AITANA Group
AITANA was created in 2010 by a group of professors from the Miguel Hernández University with a common interest: the study of psychological problems in children and adolescents and the improvement of their physical and emotional well-being. AITANA researchers, including Professor José Antonio Piqueras, apply the advances in their studies by developing their applied work in the Child Therapy Unit of the University Clinic and offer advisory services in research and intervention to institutions and organizations.
Currently, they train professionals in child and adolescent therapy through the Master’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Psychological Therapy, accredited by ANECA and with access to a doctorate. AITANA promotes the dissemination of the latest advances in the field of childhood and adolescence through the International Congress of Clinical and Health Psychology with Children and Adolescents, which annually brings together many specialists from around the world.
The group publishes since 2014 the Journal of Clinical Psychology with Children and Adolescents for the dissemination of scientific studies in this area.
